He leverages his years of project management and preconstruction experience to successfully tee up projects before a single shovel hits the ground.
Background and Relevant Experience
Gary has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Washington and an Associate of Applied Science in Real Estate. While developing competitive budgets and buyouts, Gary confers with executive leadership. In the beginning of his career, Gary managed a team of certified brokers who were multifamily property specialists. He met his team's professional demands and developed win-win partnerships with them, which boosted repeat business. By ensuring adherence to state laws and resolving conflicts, he improved the firm's standing for honesty and competence. One of the main reasons for his preconstruction success has been early training in good estimating principles and methods. With an emphasis on cost and risk reduction, he has honed his presentation and communication abilities.
Gary has worked for government contractors, supervising Quality Control Managers and Site Safety and Health Officers on U.S. military and NAVFAC projects. He communicates clearly and consistently, and listens closely to those around him with experience. Through earned trust, he encourages openness, recognizes contributions, and fosters teamwork. He has negotiated GMP proposals for residential and hospitality mid- and high-rise structures in the private sector. In K–12, higher education, and healthcare institutions, he has led teams to win numerous competitive CMAR and hard bid awards.
He completes large-scale projects, consistently outperforming competitors in quality and delivery. He has championed the inclusion of women and minority-owned subcontractors, promoting diversity in the industry. He’s received multiple awards for commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, and civil projects. Developing enduring connections with trade partners allows him to create outstanding proposals. He strives to establish and maintain win-win alliances with leading trade partners. As a LEED AP dedicated to lifelong learning, he keeps up his active contributions to the industry. He is a member of ABC East Coast Chapter, Construction Association of South Florida and US Green Building Council. The greatest blessing in life, in Gary’s opinion, is the love of family.
